I am looking to buy a graphics card for $250 and under. I want to run a smooth frame rate of about 120. Can someone suggest a graphics card for me?

Post down below!

IF you just need a GPU for only Minecraft I would get a 7850 (I have one and I get 100+ on full settings) It can also run shaders at 100FPS. If it is for all around gaming I would go with a 760. I have the Sapphire Radeon 7850 but they stopped making it for some reason.

270x (Cause ya know I just love it): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814127761

Search for a AMD r7 7950 card.
Or, if your using adobe after effects and such, look for an nvidia card.

What games are you playing? Spending 250$ on a gpu for just minecraft is not needed.

A 660 or 760 will do fine. A R9270 or R9270X will also do fine.

2gb's has nothing to do with a graphics card FPS performance (Mostly.) The Memory in a card relates more to rendering and multiple monitors.

My laptop is great at gaming and it has a 2GB graphics card. I would suggest that or higher.

Lol, laptops GPUs and desktop GPUs are different, and also, as crazyeagle said, a very low end GPU could have 2GB while a 780 could have 2GB as well. And the 780 will get ridiculous FPS in minecraft, while the low end might get 50.

@OP what game are you wanting to get 120 fps in? If it is minecraft, you dont need to spend near $250
