New to the computer version, quick question!

I just bought mine craft for my mac, I've been watching keralis's videos and i joined his server and plugged in the coordinates accordingly, but when i plug the coordinates in exactly how it is labeled in the description it brings me to random places where obviously I'm not looking to go so can someone help me out please, thanks:)

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "coordinates" but if you mean the IP of the server then really all your experiencing is the change between vanilla and multiplayer servers. Multiplayer server tend to have teleportation and stuff which you aren't used to. After some time you will understand how to do stuff
