Here is my first Gaming PC Build. I've been working on it for a few months now, and would really like suggestions. Thanks!

Because I'm planning on using a Oculus Rift with it. It requires two USB 3.0 ports, which I would prefer on the front.

Fair enough. Let me see what I can find.

EDIT: This is a nice option: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-mas ... il352mkkn1

CaptainMurica\Why do you need two? If you're running external drives they should be plugged in the back.

That looks pretty good but there are two things.

1. Why an i5-6400 instead of a i5-4590?

2. One thing I need on the case is two 3.0 USB ports on front. This case only has one.

1. It's newer, more efficient, can be overclocked, and should deliver similar performance to an i5-4590 when at stock speeds.

1. I prefer not to make it any more expensive than it is. It's been taking a while.

2. Do you know of any good ATX motherboards?

3. I am not putting in two GPUS. Just one GTX 970.

Also, I'm pretty new to PC building.

Here is what I recommend. It's less than $10 more and you get a better CPU upgrade path as well as the ability to overclock. You won't be overclocking much with the stock heatsink, but the stock heatsink is rated for 95W and you're sticking a 65W CPU under it so there's some headroom.

Since you have 4 RAM slots, you might as well get 8GB of dual-channel memory or take the step up to 16GB since RAM is cheap. Also, you put a micro ATX motherboard in an ATX case. Pick either mATX or ATX for both the case and motherboard and stick with it so things don't look strange on the inside. Other than those and maybe tossing in an SSD for speed, your build looks good.

Though, I hope you don't plan on putting two GPUs in there. That motherboard does not support SLI and even if it did, I wouldn't trust that power supply with two energy-efficient Maxwell cards let alone two space heaters from AMD. I think it would be in your best interests to either upgrade the PSU to something more powerful and of higher quality (see the EVGA GS and G2 lines) in hopes of running dual GPUs someday, or downgrade it to something like an EVGA 500B.

EDIT: I'm curious - why aren't you using Skylake parts? They're not that much more and are much more energy-efficient.
