.... Like seriously 2gb ram won't last for many things you will barely be able to have notepad, os and minecraft opened at the same time. Buy atleast 6gb+ ram.
Also the cpu is old and slow it is better to buy the Intel Core I5 4670k Coming in at $220.
The graphics card is GT which is Nvidia's older version of graphics cards. Buy atleast an GTX otherwise it all goes to crap.
Here is an build i recommend,
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 100€
MotherBoard: Asrock z87 extreme 4
Ram: G-skill value series 8gb ddr3 ram
Harddisk: Seagate Barracuda st1000dm003 1Tb
Os: Windows 8 (Better than win 7 for gaming)
Power Supply: Doesn't matter as long as it is 750 watts.
2 Extra 140mm fans.
Cpu Cooler: Scythe Ninja 3 Rev.B
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 660 or 580(Better)
This will make an really nice gaming computer. Btw if that computer runs any game but minecraft good you are lying. These are not your components if you do.

This alternative isn't too expensive:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Processor: Intel Core i3 2.5 GHZ
RAM: 4 GB
Graphic Card: AMD Radeon HD 6670

Swap out the graphics card with a 7750 or 7770, at least.
1
I putted 6670 cuz isn't too expensive
1
A 7750 isn't too expensive either, yet it is quite a bit better.

TheShadbusherUltimate GerardUpgrading RAM is the best thing because if you ever go on the server, It won't lag that much
False.

This isn't a gaming computer.
1
How much do you have to spend on upgrades? That computer is old and you might as well get a new one instead of upgrading your current one.

If you have 1 GB allocated to Minecraft, you won't need to worry about memory issues unless someone sets off a whole lot of TNT right in front of you, but even that is more instensive on the graphics card than the CPU and memory.
OP: Get a better graphics card, and maybe more RAM to give the OS some more wiggle room. One or two more GB will do. More RAM isn't necessary, but it will give the OS more room to do its job and not have to compete with Minecraft/use the page file if it needs more.

You should get 4 gb ram and a better processor then it will minecraft without any problem.
1
Well 2GB of ram wont run MC or any game really but you should focus on upgrading RAM and your Processor
and that memory can't be that b/c that's only 1 GB of ram witch insist enough for the OS itself

No. I could ran minecraft and some other games even with 1 gb of RAM using my 8 year old PC but it lagged. I'd say, buy at least 4 gb RAM so you could run many tasks at once. I'm buying a new laptop soon too.
1
Dude, an OS doesn't take up an entire gig of RAM.
1
I run minecraft very well.
1
I have ran Minecraft on a Windows XP 32-bit OS with 1GB of DDR2 RAM.
This was also on a laptop.
With LB Photorealism 256x.
I got around 100 FPS.
Its possible.
