I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop (E55-A5114), and I've been having issues with the Keyboard. It doesn't seem to function. I've been at a hotel, so I haven't been able to test an external keyboard. Here are the fixes I have tried:
Restating the PC
Re-installing the Human Interface Keyboard Driver
Re-installing the Keyboard Drivers
Upgrading the Keyboard Drivers
Restoring the Computer
And a couple other things i found on the internet
None of them work. But here's an interesting anomaly, the keyboard randomly turns on and off in terms of functioning. Half the time when the keyboard is not functioning, the Function keys will. Currently they don't, and all i can use is the Ease of Access on screen keyboard. I suspect it could be a physical connection issue, but with it randomly working and that tuning off (Without me even touching it) I'm not sure.11

Here are some possible solutions I looked up in case you haven't found them.

Go to Start<Control Panel<Keyboard<Hardware Tab<Properties<Power Management< and untick the box that says"Allow computer to turn off this device to save power".

Is FilterKeys on? Hold down the RIGHT-shift key for ten seconds.

Try pressing FN+F11

Try this:
1- Turn off computer, disconnect the power cord, remove the battery.
2- Press the Power On button for 10 seconds
3- Replace battery and/or connect power cord.
4- Turn On computer + immediately press F2 key repeatedly
5- Press F9 then press Enter
6- Press F10 then press Enter

Hope any of this works. If not I have no idea what the problem could be.
