What is the most creative (and survival friendly) way to protect your house from creepers?

im really curious to see what you people will come up with. i've seen many creative things from many different people across this site and i wanted to ask you all this question to see what you'd come up with :D

Use a daylight sensor to register when it's night. Then make a redstone system that makes any mob (Such as creepers) fall down into a stream of water where they'll be transported back into the wild. No harm, and no destruction. A friendly way to get rid of mobs : D

an at least 3 blocks deep, at least 2 blocks wide trench around the house, filled with carpets
you can run across as if it were flat ground, but mobs do not understand that, they see it as an empty, insurmountable pit
green carpet is also close enough to grass colour to blend in from a distance, and if that is not good enough you can add a leave block hedge to hide the edge between grass and carpet

having a army of cats, it cute and defenceful.

Not really creative, but having an army of cats might to the trick, just have them sit outside your house and creepers won't dare approach.

Have an army of cats sitting around the house, they are easy to find and tame if you are near a village.

Bottomless pit moat surrounding your home, just wide enough so that not even players can speed jump it, then tunnel down to a desired level and dig out a tunnel, when you get to the moat edge, build a broken invisible block bridge with a couple blocks and dig further into the other side and up to the surface, use grass textured iron trapdoors to disguise the access. Nice little pile of grass textured buttons to place in your inventory and some trees and foliage around the entrance.
