And by franchise I think you mean company.
Anyways, I feel like I'd have to say Valve's my favorite company. Their games have great quality and Steam is amazing. They have their bumps, but not as hard as other company's bumps.
I like Nintendo's games, however some of the choices they have made are very questionable.
Sony's a pretty great company, but I just don't have the same experiences with their stuff as Valve's.
Ew Microsoft.
I guess my favorite actual franchise though is Metroid. Those games are so good. I liked Other M too, though it was lacking compared to the past games.

This, even though they cancelled Megaman (dammit I wanted ZX 3) they still made the Zero series, which makes up for that.
