So, as the title states, I am hoping to buy a 256gb Samsung 850 Pro. On newegg, it costs $180, and it comes with Assassins Creed Unity. Whereas, on amazon, it's $10 less, at $170. Which one should I buy?

(1) Since when did Samsung sell hard disks?
(2) Since when did manufacturers bundle stuff like games on their hard disks?

1. Not a hard disk, SSD.
2. I don't know, relatively recently.

If you could buy it right now, then this may be better for you.

I agree with the other members and going with the cheaper one with more space. If you're worried about the lifespan and losing your files just make a backup of it on a hard drive. Also I wouldn't worry too much about it failing. I have a friend who has been using a SSD in his PC for 4-5 years and has had almost no issues with it.

It's not exactly cheaper...It's cheaper per gb, but overall price, it's not.

Honestly, go with the 512GB mx100. Compare the 512gb mx100 vs the 256 850 pro. Double the storage for not much more, and not much slower. Like what, maybe half a second difference in moving large files?

Why are you getting the 850 Pro? You can get the MX100 256GB for much cheaper(almost half the price) or the 512GB MX100 which is only 10-20$ more for twice the storage. Performance difference is minimal between the two drives and is definitely not worth $80 more for. Compare them.

The Samsung 850 pro is newer, and it comes with a 10 year warranty, which is great because most SSDS suffer from lifespan issues.

Edit:

The speed difference appears to be rather large based on this: http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Sa ... 2385vs2317
