The most bad ass character from a video game? Dante from the Devil May Cry Series. Not the DMC reincarnation, no. That guy's just a punk.
No, Devil May Cry Dante is bad ass just for the fact that he's got these insane powers (Devil Trigger, can dodge bullets or whatever crazy thing's thrown at him, etc.) that he uses to show off. He's an "all up in your face" kinda person, but in a good way. Sarcasm and wisecracking, even near death (or lack thereof).
