There is no reason to get windows 7 right now. Windows 8.1 with classic shell works pretty much the same as 7 except better.

There is no reason to get windows 7 right now. Windows 8.1 with classic shell works pretty much the same as 7 except better.

This is pretty much your best bet. It's got a great CPU with hyperthreading, a nice graphics card, and it will record well. The only thing I can recommend is to get a SSD, which will speed up your games, especially in loading times. It will also make the PC boot faster. If I were you, I would also recommend you get a couple of Seagate Barracudas or WD Greens and put them in external hard drive casings if you're serious about recording. They will be able to store all of your media and you won't have to continually open your PC and put in new drives.

You will almost never need a 2tb HDD, unless you have a few hundred games on Steam, and plan on having them all installed at the same time. Also, 16gb of RAM is also a bit overkill. You shouldn't need that unless you're recording and rendering at the same time, across multiple monitors. Also, I know you said that you don't want Windows 8, but support for Windows 7 ends very soon, so if anything goes wrong, you won't be able to get official help. The only thing different about Windows 7 and Windows 8 is the start menu. Other than that, they're basically the same OS.

the reason i need 2tb hard drive is because my videos take up a lot of room on this computer i'm using now it has 1tb and it fills up after about 2 hours of video
