If you didn't have a budget...
So basically...
I made this so we could share what we'd buy if we didn't have a budget restricting us. It can be anything from a PC, to a Game, to Photoshop or something. Personally, I'd make a PC build. The one I thought up was a little big so I didn't convert it to BBcode.

So what would you guys buy or do if you didn't have a budget?

So basically when I made it my thinking was "I want to make an awesome Overclockable rig" I also didn't want to go overboard like people do when they list $1000+ GPUs and the $3000 Xeon. The build I came up with totalled out at $2500. I was thinking that If I had a unlimited budget, why not get small speakers, a Bluray reader/writer, mouse, keyboard, etc., I also choose the 2TB HDD because it's $30 more than a 1TB one. I also got a 64GB SSD for the OS. Overall, the most expensive part in the build is the 2 GPUs, which was around $800- $900. It's not the best build, but If you don't have a budget, it doesn't matter that much. Obviously some things here aren't the best/needed (Win8.1 Pro-64bit) just what I thought up. I could probably make a better one, but meh. Also if you're reading this, don't give advice on the build (I just thought it up as I went), just post something you'd make if you had unlimited money... So yeah
So what would you guys buy or do if you didn't have a budget?

I'm probably wrong but this might be one of the most powerful computers that you can build at the moment without using the multiples of the same parts (like 5 graphics cards, etc.)

Xeons aren't designed for gaming, though. They're more designed for business tasks, such as running 24/7, running a server, and being used to perform complex calculations (which NVIDIA GPUs are good at as well, due to the fact that you can program in CUDA).

This, then I will buy an island, then a luxurious house, then a car. You know, things like that.

Slightly off topic but concerning Intel CPUs..
Most mobile i3, i5, and i7 mobile processors use this, as well as the i7x. I always kind of knew this was here, but never messed around with it. If you open the intel turbo-boost monitor, it shows you your CPU's current GHz (meter?). Anyway, my laptop uses a crappy old i5-2450M clocked at 2.50GHz, right? I made a little benchmark with Python, and I've seen the GHz rate jump up to 3.00GHz for a while, but it mostly hovered around 2.90GHz. Kind of cool to know the software does some background over/underclocking.
1
Ha ha slightly off topic, I'm not to familiar with over-clocking myself but good info to say the least.
1
Yeah.. I'd imagine hardcore manual oveclocking with an i7-4770K or an i5-4670K would be a lot more risky.
1
Ha ha, i knew this might happen. Yea buy everything thats the way to do it!
1
I would buy everything that is possible to buy
1
If you buy everything, where would you put it? xP
1
Well i'd have lots of vaults and stuff like that
1
With all the storage he bought, obviously
teehee
teehee

I'd buy an island and never look at a PC again.

Since I already have a PC: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/Z7mG3C
I would buy 2 more of the same monitor, another GTX 770, Oculus rift, A G27 racing wheel and a Hotas Warthog.

My dream pc

Here she is, I would build this rig any day if i had the extra dough laying around.
Then I'd move on to game design and development.
