If i decide to challenge the wither out in the open and i kill it, i will obtain the nether star, but then i'll pick up all the wither roses for a burial ground (this is actually what i did in my world, no joke :O)
U see, unlike most survival worlds, i actually wanna expand 2 of my villages, and actually make them look real. I have flower parks, small buildings made of concrete, and a huge modern mansion (my house), markets, armour stores, mining centres (mob free) and I even add cemeterys. It might sound crazy n all, but I have it realistic (just upright stairs with slab, then add a sign to say which mob died, then name it lol)

I think you should kill the wither in the end under the return portal so it will take suffocation damage and you won't get hit.

Craft a beacon, then do max diamond blocks or something. Kill 4 more withers, make 4 more beacons, place them, and then stay within 50 blocks of the beacon area for the rest of the time spent in the world.

How about giving yourself or others a boost? That's the purpose of the wither star/beacon.

I generally craft a beacon. It is one of the rarest items to get.

Craft A Beacon, and keep said beacon in a secure storage container

well, the beacon is used to get effects by placing it on a pyramid-shaped tower. but while you dont have enough ore to make the whole tower, the best idea is to keep the beacon on a secure place
