Any suggestions for video editing software for a beginner?
I’m new to video editing, and not too sure of what to get. I don’t plan on doing anything fancy for a little while, so is there any editing software that could ease me into video editing slowly?

Depending on your severity of your editing, if you are new to editing you might want to go with the easy "EzVid"
It has a recording function with it and an easy cut and music editor.
If you're looking for something that you will want to stick with forever and something you can learn to do professionally I would recommend Sony Vegas Pro, if you are having issues finding it for free you can PM me and I can send you a video I use every time I redownload it.
Good luck!

Switching video editing software can be a mess. I suggest you learn on something that you will end up using. That being noted, Adobe Premiere and After Effects.

Well, less things for me to worry about.

I use Shotcut, it's free and it can do pretty good job. Has decent filters and probably a lot more stuff that I don't know about cause I don't use it for anything big, just some personal projects.

Thanks man! I’ll probably start working with it very soon.
