There's this really old book I own that I love, Admirals of the Caribbean from 1922. And another that tells the story of ww2 from a journalists perspective. Both quite old, got 20 or so old books from someone's house when they were moving out.
Too hard a question…

Titanic books
I would HIGHLY recommend The Inheritance Cycle. Love those books, and they will probably last you quite some time.
