You missed one difference: In the movie, Haymitch isn't an alcoholic and he doesn't fall off the stage while he does in the book.
But yes, I love books way more than the movies.

OH MY GOD YES. My dad and I were talking about it after we left the theater. Plus, Katniss got the pin from the mayor's daughter in the book. And, they left out the part where the mutts looked like the fallen tributes.

THG isn't as big in the U.K as it is in US, it seems. I've only seen one advert for the movie.

I actually just got back from watching THG. I found there were parts missing that only people who read the book would fill in the blanks with. I enjoyed the books, but they were very intense reading at night considering how young I am. I have to say, the books and the movie were equally good. There were tons of parts that they could have done better with in both, but all in all, it was an awesome experience.
