They both weigh the same, but if you want to know how much damage it will do to someone, the iron will hurt someone the most/make the most amount of damage.

Weight and impact/gravity are two totally different values. A pound of feathers dropped from a skyscraper wouldn't hurt at all, but a pound of iron would because of the impact and velocity that it gains when it falls from a high distance.

Actually, from a logical standpoint, in order to hold and weigh a pound of feathers, you'd need to have a bag to hold them in, or else they'd all blow away. With iron, it'd just be one small semi-dense piece of metal. It wouldn't need to be held together to weigh, so therefore, the bag would weigh down the feathers, making it heavier.

The difference between the two is because feathers are lighter, you will just need more to make a pile that weighs 1 pound than the amount of iron to make 1 pound.
