Even if you did get them to work, it'd be terrible performance with those specs. I also have doubts that you could fit TF2 on there.

If you install Ubuntu (or some other Linux distro) you could.

Yeah I dont think you will be able to play TF2 with that since steam games dont support the Chrome OS

Could you use a chromebook to host a server?

if chomebooks are compatible with minecraft you could, i don't know if they are. however, if you're are planning a public server, you are going to want a dedicated server or a host instead, normal brand computers won't put all their ram towards a server and aren't meant for servers in the first place

The chrome book is little more than a browser locked into a computer.
I wouldn't recommend getting one. Besides, I don't think Minecraft is compatible with Chromebooks. Steam games are most definitely not.

My desktop is 1.60GHz and 2.50RAM and don't run it good unless minecraft is on the lowest settings

Unless its CPU is a potato, 95% of desktops will run Minecraft fine. The exceptional 5% are errors in hardware or software.

Netbooks or equivalent systems = gaming no-no.
Laptops = slightly better; aim for 4GB RAM, 2+ cores.
Desktops = no problem.

Alright, after looking a little bit further into the specs and model you'll need to do a few things before you can play. I wouldn't really recommend it though, expect very low FPS.

Even some of the worst computers can play Minecraft, so I'm sure you'll have no trouble with that one.

But depending on the specs, you may be able to play TF2. Mind sharing specs?
