Personally, I've always loved both; however, after being attacked by a dog when I was six years old, I've since had a fear of dogs. Which lead me to becoming more attached to cats -- ever since I was young, I've always grown up having cats (at one point, having six all at once) so, to me, cats have always been superior. Of course, that isn't to say I would never get a dog (considering how badly I want one); however, I'm just much more used to cats and would find having a dog to be a difficult transition for me. And I would definitely require help in training a dog, considering I'm nowhere near a professional in such areas. Also, if I could, I would love to have both a cat and a dog at the same time. Since, to me, that would be the best of both worlds!
