Doctor Who, The Doctors Name Revealed!

As all you Doctor Who fans will know, that The Doctors name will be revealed in just 2 weeks! This will be the Doctor's most Dark and dangerous adventure he will ever have!
The episode is to be called 'The Name of The Doctor', which will then lead to the 50th Anniversary. The Anniversary will lead to the saddest moment, where we all have to say farewell to one of the best Doctors there has ever been, Matt Smith, as he will be leaving in 2013 Christmas Special where he will regenerate to the last Doctor there will ever be, The 12th Doctor!

I believe the Gallifreyan translators convert alphanumeric strings into a script that resembles the Gallifreyan glyphs shown on the TV show. However, this is not a two-way street, as the show does not have a standardized use of the language, and even if they did, chances are that it would not translate into anything intelligible by English speakers, considering that it's an alien language.

I'm not 100% sure of this but the people who watched the old old version of doctor who from the 60s might know the doctor's name if it ever was revealed in those millions of episodes.

I'm 99% sure Classic Who never revealed his true name....I've only watched a few Classic Who episodes, so I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's never been revealed.

John Hurt was between the 8th and 9th doctor, but he did some terrible thing that wasn't in the name of the doctor, therefore he is not the doctor. And that means Smith is still the 11th, Tennet is still the 10th, and Eccelston is still the 9th. Nothing changes, just the number of regeneration Smith has left.
If you don't understand reread and try again, its a fairly simple concept

It was the council that gave The Master the regenerations if I remember and as such it is kinda impossible unless they come back.... again.

FYI, the time lords have gifted more regeneration in the past. The master nearly got all his back and later he got an extra regeneration.

TheiKingActually no, it has been alluded to over the years in the classic show, Canonical books, and audio dramas that the 12 Regeneration Limit was a law imposed by the time lords as some sort of population control rather than a biological fact.
This is supported in The Five Doctors where the Master is offered a whole new line of regenerations.

I stopped watching Doctor Who after Russel T Davis left (The 9th and 10th doctor who director). I rarely have any interest in even watching Matt Smith anymore. I also don't think the Doctor Who franchise will close down after the 12th Doctor dies. If they can still make some money out of the franchise, they'll create some form of plot twist which makes the Doctor survive longer.

You idiots. Matt's contract doesn't end util 2015. We have another two years, and, Time Lords can only regenerate 12 times. It is a biological thing. Also, what about "Let's Kill Hitler"? River gave her last 10 regenerations to the Doctor. If you consider yourself a true Whovian, you'd know all this. I've been watching since the days of Eccleston, and I know a lot more about the Doctor than any of you seem to. Get your facts right, people!

I only started watching near the end of Ecclestone's role as Doctor (not sure which number he is), so I may have missed something here...
John Hurt was the Ninth doctor but he broke the promise (killed people etc) so Eccleston, Tennant and Smith don't count him as a doctor so Smith is in fact the 12th doctor but River died to give him her remaining regenerations (7 or 8 more?) so the show will go on!
ps: they didn't actually make any episodes with john hurt its just what they are saying now so that they will do flash backs etc.
The doctor has unlimited regenerations as BBC has anounced the 12 regenerations isnt a timelord biological thing but a restriction the time lord leder/king had put and since their dead... as log as you like doctor who it will go on
