As ive been running my server ive heard some pretty wacky excuses of becoming an OP xD.
Example from yesterday:
Guy: "PMC ARE HAVING A SERVER REVIEW AND I NEED A SERVER TO WIN THE COMPETITION"
Me: "Wow, Again?"
Guy: "PLEASE I DONT HAVE MUCH TIME YOU NEED TO LET ME HAVE PERMISSIONS SO I CAN DO REVIEW"
Me: "But i need more time :O, And why havent pmc notified me of this?"
Guy: "PLEASSEE ITS A PRIVATE ONE AND THEY ONLY SENT IT TO A FEW MEMBERS"
Me: "..."
Guy: "QUICKLY I NEED TO PLEASE IM DESPERATE I DONT WANT TO LOSE"
Everyone else: "Hes not going to give you it xD"
So he still tries...
Guy: "PLEASE HURRY UP THERES ONLY SO MUCH TIME"
So he spams the chat even more until we decide to mute him.
Then he leaves.
Well, That was in one day and i was hoping everyone else would share their experiences with this since some make me laugh and some are even death threats, So feel free to share yours. ^^

I get people asking for OP or Admin a lot, but I generally say 'No' and leave them complaining. One thing I get annoyed about is 'Helper Rank'. Lot's of people come on to the server and ask for it like this:

Even though I've told them. Multiple times. Yeah.

I always thought it was really hard to become an admin on a server thanks to trolls, but on the second day of joining PMC I became one. I guess you just have to let admins know that you can be trusted.

Yeah, it's not hard to get a staff position at all. Getting a staff position on a reputable server however... is a bit harder.

I get about three-four of these idiots a day. I usually just troll them for a bit, and if they don't leave of their own accord, I inform them that I know multiple staff members on a semi-personal basis, and direct them to the post about PMC not doing server reviews. After they finally leave, I ban them with lots of "herps" and "derps," so as to troll them a bit more, if they decide to come back.

oh i love the PMC trolls (they are not really PMC)
what i do is i act super stupid, to the point where i ask the guy whos trolling us "What's the command for OP?"
which of course is /op
but i dont op them i just give them a fake [Admin] prefix then start really trolling them coz they try to grief but they cant coz its fake Admin.

what i do is i act super stupid, to the point where i ask the guy whos trolling us "What's the command for OP?"
which of course is /op
but i dont op them i just give them a fake [Admin] prefix then start really trolling them coz they try to grief but they cant coz its fake Admin.

instead of doing that you should get a FakeOP plugin, as if you give them the prefix everyone else will try it ^^, just a pointer for you :]

I've had quite a few people coming onto my server and saying "I WILL EFFING KILL YOU IF YOU DON'T GIVE ME OP RIGHT NOW!" or "where do I sign up for admin?" How stupid do you think everyone is? No one is just going to give an op title to some random idiot who actually asked for it.
