Hey whenever i try to join a server it says user is not premium... what do i do to fix that?

Ya, he does from time to time, though with all of the meetings and hardcore dev, I think he probably reads it less than he used to. What he needs to do is start reading PMC.

The regular minecraft servers are separate from the forums, which are only just official and not actually run by Notch or Mojang as far as I know.

If you have already...they are having troubles with the forums and stuff. So it may just be that.
