Well, since it seems as if some of the flaming has gone away, I'll give some advice.

Ask yourself these questions:

Does she have the same interests as me? (music, tv shows, etc.)

Is she in the same grade/class as me?

Is she really who i want to be with my entire life?

I wouldn't recommend going too deep into this stuff, high school is a better place to start dating.

From personal experience, don't get to know the girl in person, find out some important facts about her, without actually asking her, its a good idea to make friends with her friends, then baring those facts in mind, you have to then talk to her, but you have to be direct, and make sure you look like what you are doing is the world to you. it also helps if the girl you have a crush on shows some sort liking towards you too. Other than this just ask her out and be yourself! ( This is how I got my girlfriend, and we have been together now for 3 years and counting )

Dont call her immediately , after you've gotten her number wait one or two days before dialing/texting her number. When you call her dont bring up going on a date with her at first. Keep it short, casual and and make a few jokes. However don't wait too long to call/text her, it becomes rude.

Saying something like "Will you go on a date with me?" is not that appealing to woman. For one its too boring.. She probably been asked that hundreds of times . And it's just awkward answering that question (unless you've been her friend for a long time). Instead tell her your planning on doing something and you thought of her and wanted to ask if she could join you.

Simple dates are good, but make sure that they're fun and exciting. Dinner sounds boring but saying something like "I heard the local sushi restaurant got a new chef and he's one of the best chefs in America- I'm gonna check the food out!" sounds way more interesting then "You wanna have dinner". Some other fun dates include kayaking, mine-golf, a plain old bike-ride, baseball games and such.
Be positive, if you act unsure, your obviously nevous then chances might decrease.
