Kinda a weird question, but what Genre is this?
So yeah, like the title says.
I was just wondering what Genre of music this would classify as?
Thanks
I did my own cover of the song 100% jokingly but if you wanna check it out that would be awesome.

also, categories such as "tv soundtrack" and "foreign cinema" show just what a bogus classification it is, a song according to that would switch genres from whatever it actually is to foreign cinema music just because someone in a different place put it in a movie

Soundtrack is a genre. Just with many Sub genres.
Soundtrack
Foreign Cinema
Musicals
Original Score
Soundtrack
TV Soundtrack

Also, Anime appears to be a genre.

It is technically classified as soundtrack.
Soundtrack is a weird thing. It's the most diverse genre, yet deserves to be split into many, and get more recognition than other less diverse genres do.

soundtrack is not a genre, but an application of music
just like "live performance" is not a genre, but an application, no matter how much you make your music fit that specific setting
soundtrack means "music that accompanies moving visual art"

Snowyfox*EDIT 2* Or would it count as normal metal?
metal is a vast, diverse group of genres, so there is no such thing as normal metal
with heavy metal on the other hand it is clear what you mean, one of the oldest metal genres with its specific sound

^^ This. This would be the genre I look for first. For some odd reason, these songs don't get genre classifications that they deserve. All of them are usually grouped as just "Soundtrack", or as Kirito said here, "Atmospheric" since the feel of the music resembles that.
The jokes you guys make are funny, but please bring that to Imgur or Reddit. Seriously. This is PMC forums. If we ask serious questions, we don't appreciate half-donkeyed answers.
*EDIT*
Sorry, I didn't actually listen to the song. Yes, you're right. Regular heavy metal. This is NOT Atmospheric music. rofl.
