Hey guys!
I recently was given the chance to become a Machinima partner. I have received the contract, and all I need to do is sing (and my parent) and I am in! Only thing is, I saw a post about how Machinima locks you into a perpetual contract. Perpetual=Forever. Is this true? I do not see any of that in the contract, and I have read it several times. Thank you!

A machinima contract can be good or bad. I have had a few friends that became machinima partners. It's true that you still have all the rights to your videos, but machinima also takes them from you after two weeks or something like that. My advice is that you wait for a youtube partnership. You have all the freedom in the world with them. This is one of the few times I will say this, but go with google.

This happened to like one guy because he rushed into it. IT's an amazing chance and just remember to read the contract and otherwise sign it!
Trust me, I've been reading that contract non stop. My parents are taking their time to look at it, which I'm happy about.

Dude, don't sign up with machinima, and if you want to then at least read thoroughly through the agreement. I believe if you have a series they make you sell the rights to them.

Well the contract says that I keep all ownership of the videos. They still belong to me.

It's hardly like you're selling your soul to the devil. If you've thoroughly looked over the contract, and it doesn't mention anything about a perpetual contract, then look it over once more with a high-power microscope. If nothing still turns up, do it.
