Question about the Minedeas 2 blog contest.

One thing I was wondering, the rules say that your idea must be original and your own. So am I still allowed to make my own versions of previous ideas? Like what if I made a blog talking about terrain improvement, using my own ideas and other peoples ideas. Would that be allowed?

"Terrain improvement" itself is not a very detailed idea, nobody can claim it as being "theirs" so writing about your own terrain improvements for the contest is totally fine. About using "other peoples ideas", it depends what you mean by this. If it's a very generic idea like "Terrain improvement" it's alright. Copying a detailed idea from someone else is not allowed however.
