I could think of many short names, but it is up to you if you want to change it. I was scared to change my Minecraft username, and now I am planning to change it.. again... and again... It was a phase. But after a month it's mi final change... to sorry I'm not telling. You probably didn't need to know about how I felt but seriously, it's up to you. If you want to keep your old one, or if the new one is better. You can always change it back after a month.
