first its 2 ^ 0.5 and not 2 * 0.5
second it wouldn't work sinec 1 * 3 != 4
why it works is simply cuz a^n * a^m = a^(n+m), so 0.5 + 1.5 = 2 and 2^2 = 4

yea so I'm guessing 2^0.5 would be 1.414... (√2)
and 2^1.5 would be 2.828... ((√2)^3)
so multiply them together and you get (√2)^4 which is the same as 2^2 which is 4. so I guess you are right.

Hate math. It isn't useful unless you use it for taxes! When does one need to know calculus? NEVER!
