Yeah. This is more of a game to play while waiting for it to come out.

EVE Online for sure, but if you want a free game I recommend Battlestar Galactica Online.

Traveling is pretty fast, you have warp, the real slow part is skill training, the further you get the longer the queues, I can't remember the exact numbers but it can take weeks to get the next size of ship, however you don't need the next big thing, every ship is viable in the game which is why I enjoyed my time in it.

Don't get EVE unless you have a lot of patience and time to sink, but otherwise it is a great game.
I haven't played much STO to give you a judgement but I have a few friends who love it.

Is EVE boring? Do you have to wait a long time for certain things like traveling?
