This is not a place to debate, just a comprehensive list for all the reasons bedrock has it's quirks (if you java players are interested)! It's not meant to justify the problems or convert you, just give reasons behind it.

"Java gets packs for free, but Bedrock has Microtransactions (Minecoins)"
Yes, Bedrock has real life payments to buy packs on the Marketplace. However, on mobile and PC, you can still import packs just like on Java for free. The marketplace was introduced for console players, who can't import files due to Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft's strict ecosystem restrictions (don't want jailbreaking, multiplayer exploits, etc)
You could also make the weaker argument that it's a good way to support Mojang/Minecraft creators and prevent reposts/infringement.

"Java allows for modding, far beyond Behavior Pack functionality"
Yes, modding on Java Edition allows for many more features than Bedrock can. However, this once again comes down to crossplay rules and locked console ecosystems. If a player is using a modded server/client, that can get in the way of crossplay between consoles, mobile, and PC.

Java Edition is OG/Nostalgic
Yes, Java edition came first, and Bedrock edition followed after. However, it didn't come as far after as you would think. Java started in May 2009 (1.0 released in Nov 2011), and MCPE (which evolved directly into Bedrock) started in August 2011 (1.0 released in 2016). As any console or mobile player will testify, these weren't just cheap copycats of Java edition; they were full-fledged, considerate, unique games. Besides, if you're playing the game today, what does it matter which came first?
Secondly, just like how people have nostalgia for Java edition, an equal amount have a connection to Pocket Edition. Nostalgia is a very important factor for each person, but not really a great argument piece.

"Bedrock is known for it's many bugs."
Yes, it's inarguable that bedrock has far more and far more dangerous bugs. But, just like on Java, you get used to them and sometimes even turn into features. Of course, it's no excuse for bugs, and is still a great argument against bedrock.

"Bedrock Controls are clunky"
Yes, on PC the controls are clunky. That's because they're not made for PC, silly! They're made for and work best on mobile, and work nicely on consoles. That's what the big buttons and sliders are for.
However, if you spent 10 minutes in the control settings, you can get the in-game controls practically identical to Java.
A UI rework is currently underway for Bedrock, keeping PC users in mind.

"Bedrock is missing so many features, like the offhand and hardcore"
There's a large number of parity features. Some are missing due to mobile/console control restrictions, like the half-baked offhand. Others are missing due to console sanctions, like custom IP servers. Others are inexcusably missing, like hardcore and custom superflats, which are either due to developer laziness or marketplace promotion.
These missing features are a very big reason against Bedrock. Perfect parity is getting closer by every update, though.

You need a subscription to play online
The only payment to pay online is required by console companies, such as Xbox Live, Switch Online, and PS+, which are system-wide and not bedrock's fault. On PC and mobile, it's completely free.
Not to mention, Bedrock beats java when it comes to local multiplayer. You don't need to set up any LAN networks or servers, just turn on bluetooth and load up a world.
You need an RTX card to turn on RTX, obviously. It's not feasible on most devices, because of how graphically intense it is.
"Bedrock has no shader support"
Yes, this is true, bedrock doesn't really have good shader support right now. This is because of a recent switch to the RenderDragon system, which reworked rendering for better performance and RTX support. Just one year ago, shaders were abundant, and developers just need to get on the new system.

Bedrock redstone is quirky
Yes, just like Java edition, bedrock has it's quirks and bugs. For example, Java has quasi-connectivity and Bedrock has burnout torches and soft powered pistons. Java follows a sub-tick update sequence, but bedrock just uses a randomizer. These aren't bad per-se, just something that you need to get used to. Most redstone contraptions are made for Java, so it can be tough to build on bedrock.

"You can't change versions on Bedrock"
No, bedrock doesn't have native launcher switching like java. This is mostly because of multiplayer sanctions on consoles. With bedrock's many game-breaking bugs, Nintendo and the likes don't want players going back before bugfixes (they dont really get the idea of sandbox games). Also, consoles have limited storage space, and don't want to download multiple versions of the game.
On mobile and PC, you can just download the .exe or .apk files and play a previous version, it won't force you out (but multiplayer won't work)

"Bedrock's UI style is inconsistent"
Yes, the logo and marketplace are high-res, but beyond that, it's not intrusive. Just try playing the game, it isn't annoying.

"The combat is weird"
It's true, bedrock has something inbetween 1.8 and 1.9 combat. There is no cooldown, axes do low damage, sharpness isn't nerfed, and there's no saturation healing, but there are crossbows, shields, and elytra. Some people like it better, some don't. But it's very tough to make a combat system which works for mobile, controller, and keyboard/mouse. It will get the combat update 2, which has bedrock in mind.

"Java gets more updates"
It once was that way, but no more. Ever since 1.15, Bedrock gets the exact same major updates, and far more bugfixes/minor updates.

"Why don't they just play Java?"
Well, not everyone has the choice. You can get bedrock for $8 on any phone or tablet, a far easier barrier to entry than asking mom for a $500 PC. Besides, crossplay is a much bigger deal than Java players realize.

Pretty sure the redstone for java is bugged and Bedrock's redstone is the true version the devs thought of.

Also Ive stated this before, but they both have different selling points:
Java: More customisability through mods/plugins/datapacks etc
Bedrock: More optimised so mobile devices can actually survive and crossplay compability and portability so you can play with friends over LAN.
Due to Bedrock's optimisation it becomes more buggier as functions become more intertwined with each other

Although there are bugs in bedrock, bedrock is supposed to be the way it was intended
