I just get mad because i know for a fact that there are forums devoted to my little pony stuff and there are mine craft forums and there are also my little pony minecraft forums. I know that there are people who like both minecraft and my little pony but that is why there are forums that are for my little pony. I just dont like it when people post things that are unrelted to minecraft on the minecraft forums. I respect the fact that theylike that show and that they have their own opinions but it is not related to minecraft.

Yeah I think most of the s**t they get they bring on themselves, I mean watching a kids show is a land mine itself, but saying that it is the greatest and superior to all forms of media before it is pretty much like jumping off a cliff, Hater or non-hater you are going to comment negatively on stuff like that.

I hate the bronies who think that the entire world can learn from the show. Sure love and freindship is great but it won't stop war, it won't stop greed and it won't stop every social problem the Earth is in at the moment. You see the human is designed to crush those above them and enslave those below the only thing weighing us down is our emotions, and the belief that if everyone were friends the world would be better will never work because although we have feelings we are not dominated by them and our need for power will always consume us.

Ok why can't the entire world be friends and advance? Because people need to suffer for progress, say if someone has something for their own personal gain and some guy wants it to share with the world greed and suffering must take place for the gift to be given and therefore someone will be hurt, wars will be waged and people will die for advancement. We are at an almost perfect balance of emotions and so any brony who thinks the world can be changed by a cartoon are fools to think that they can change the entire human race. Still there is no point on hating on a cartoon, it doesn't encourage murder, or sex or anything bad in fact the morals are good but they will never change this world.

But of course the point of this: Bronies can watch their cartoon, it is their right, but the people who believe that the world can learn from it must stick to the internet, the internet is not a nation and will only advance with ideas, ideas for good social interaction and that is exactly what those people believe in so the only thing they can improve is how people react in society, not what the society believes or what it does. Anyway that was a long winded speech which is sadly true. Listen to what I wrote for somehow, someday, society can develop so that everyone is as valuable as each other and everyone is as needed as the next person.

Seeing as its been revived conviniently, I'll state my 2 cents. As someone who neither likes or dislikes the show, has never watched it, and is an ex-hater, I don't know how much i can say. I suppose I can say don't knock it til you've tried it, I did once but realised that's stupid. Also I can say that the cause of hate may be due to zealous bronies, those who go mental at the merest hint of dislike, when that happens people think "I didn't mind the show before, but if bronies behave like that, I don't want to be part of it". At the risk of blaspheming, I suppose it's a little like religion. No one minds you liking it, but if you try to convert those who don't want to watch, or get angry at someone for not liking it, it's just going to generate bad press

I personally have no problem with them and a few of my friends are bronies, though occasionally I will make friendly jokes about it.

Some bronies do take it too far and I've seen it happen.

I openly admit, I am not a brony, and I don't like the show. But that doesn't mean I have to rant about how "the show is the stupidest thing ever and people who watch it are stupid". I can see why the show appeals to others, and it shouldn't be a subject of dispute.

HOWEVER, some bronies do need to cool it, and the slightest notion of dislike shouldn't spark a flame, as this has already been said. It's just that some bronies can't stand someone not liking the show for acceptable reasons, and some anti-bronies can't stand the notion of liking MLP.

So I guess I could kind of be considered neutral in this situation, since I am neither a brony, nor an anti. I see nothing wrong in MLP, and even though it has expanded to a wider audience than intended, there is no reason for fans to be called gay or geeks, because they have a right to their opinion. Everyone does. And a person's opinion shouldn't matter to someone if it doesn't affect them.

So all in all, MLP is a perfectly fine show, and the people who like it are perfectly good people. Even if others don't like the show, the shouldn't be complaining. People who are over-zealous fans, need to chill.

(There should be some shorter, catchier version of anti-bronies)

I find the show boring and rated for children. Though I do see how it can appeal to more internet based people.

I do like some of the youtube dubs, and this one animation when the pony with the hat eats all those apples and goes on a acid trip. I thought that was hilarious.

Ooooh Twilight..... I can't for the life of me figure out how that is one of the number one movies. On topic, also Bronies aren't really the only ones that put bronies, mlp, etc in their topic posts. I have seen topics that had bronies or the like in the title that were more of posts dedicated to start flaming and the like. That being said I more of like the shrugging pony internet meme.... I have seen some of the episodes, and most of them seem fine to me, even though the voices of the youngling ponies do annoy me so.

i do agree that some of us bronies do need to cool it, we dont have to flaunt it, or post reaction images all the time. we can keep more secluded to our own forums and websites (though as you point out, people shouldn't flip out at the meer mention or sign of MLP)

i guess part of the pestering comes from us wanting people to try this thing we found to be wonderful, so we tell others about it and ask them to try it. im one of the bronies who tends to GENTLY approach people with it, only when it's relevent and not imposing, but i really do want to see other peoples reaction to it and see if theyll like it. i do not however get up in arms when people claim not to like it, which is fully understandable. however, i do tend to appose people who openly claim "it sucks" and "its terrible," which is different to just "i dont like it." i often ask for reasoning or examples of what makes it bad (it suggests that it's void of quality and appeal. for example, im not a fan of much anime, but im not going to say anime sucks because i can easily see it's appeal and quality.) though i do not resort to insults or bashing.

on the part of society judgeing us, that's understandable, but not something that SHOULD happen. It is just ignorant and unacceptable to judge a group of people just because they do not conform to the expectations of others. i can totally see why people would find it creepy, which is fine and understandable, but it so often leads to people making accusations and insults toward us. people often attack OUR fandom and do things to us because of the fact that we like the show. now it's not like we're going to hatch some sort of revolutionary movement out of this (that's kinda silly), but we shouldn't have to take this aggression lying down.

Anyhow, most Bronies overreact to the slightest insult and cause all these "Fad Wars" because you stick up for them, perhaps you shouldn't have after seeing that you don't think of yourself as a brony.

It's true, most bronies around here love MLP for the trolling. Let's admit it, trolling's fun. I just want to thank you for being honest about this whole thing, I couldn't have said it any better. This is going to stop alot of flame wars.

To the bronies:

You have to face that you are watching a show intended for not only children, but precisely young girls ranging from 3-10. Sure, you may feel the subject matter and humor has a broader audience, but when they made the show and wrote the script, they always had the intention of pleasing 3-10 year old little girls.

I can relate with you on the matter that things intended for children can be equally appealing to adults. I've been an avid Transformers fan/watcher/collector for most of my life. I started watching Beast Wars when I was in the 4th grade, every morning before school, and now, at 23 years old, I've enjoyed watching Transformers Prime, and I enjoyed Transformers Animated before that. But, even watching a cartoon meant for boys ranging from their pre-teens to early teenage years, I'm viewed as being a little strange because of it. I used to be a little defensive about it, but then I realized that yeah, my hobby was mostly intended for young boys not grown men, but that doesn't mean anything to me. I like it for what it is.

You may feel the same. The difference though? I keep my Transformers related materials to my skins. I don't start Transformers threads, or just start talking about Tranformers in the middle of someone's post. I'm here on a Minecraft website to talk about Minecraft. I've got Transformers sites that I go to to talk with other Transformers fans.

You've got to realize that not everyone cares about MLP, so just try and keep it centralized to a few threads and not in other peoples threads. Skins, I've got no problem wit, because I'm going to post as many TF skins as I feel, so have away at posting MLP skins. MLP blogs on the other hand, not necessary, as I feel the Blogs area should pertain to Minecraft/PMC related materials, as this is a Minecraft community site.

To the haters:

We've all got our strange quirks and embarrassing attributes that someone else might find amusing to hate on, or might actually be something they thoroughly despise. There isn't a single person on this Earth that doesn't. It is then not fair to call attention, and blatantly attack that of another persons.

Sure, the brony community has grown exponentially lately (it wasn't 2 months ago that I didn't even know what a brony was) and it seems they are always in your face, at every corner, in ever thread, and on every website. I understand that you don't want to have to look and hear about a bunch of ponies when you just want to talk about Minecraft (or any other subject). That, however, does not give you the right to be derogatory and hateful. Flaming never get's anyone anywhere, and only encourages the ones you are flaming to become more adamant and in-your-face about the whole thing.

There are those out there that think Minecraft is a fad, and that we are all just idiots playing a game that might have been cool in the 90's but is totally irrelevant in today's high-budget, high-graphics world. I've had people make fun of me for playing Minecraft. Heck, took forever for my dad to come around and actually give Minecraft a try and now he plays it nonstop when he is home.

You may not want to here about ponies, nor do I to be honest, but that is no reason to cause discord in the community. You may not like MLP, while they might, but in the end we are all here because of Minecraft and there is no need for all the hate over something that is so irrelevant to this sites purpose.

It's simple, WHY would you feel the need to post a thread about how you don't like MLP?

I don't like brussel sprouts, Nazis, people who drive really slow in the fast lane, anything in the Twilight series... but I don't feel the need to post about it.

If you don't like MLP, don't bother reading the threads. You have the choice, the Bronies ALWAYS post either the words "My Little Pony," "Bronies," or "MLP" in the title of their threads, so you KNOW what you're getting into when you start... and even if you don't, just stop reading. I read less than 1% of the posts on the whole forum. I only read the stuff in the moderator rooms, anything that catches my attention in the newest 20 reel and anything that is flagged on the lists. Be more selective and your whole MLP related issues can be dealt with.

The trouble with bronies is that if you say one bad thing against them, they all turn on you and you get accused of starting a flame war. Meaning that being a member of pmc means you have to like MLP publicly. Of course you can secretly hate them, but when the bronies go around and express they're views on how great the program is, and then someone who doesn't like the program says their point of view, the bronies flare up, then the person who said they dislike MLP is accused of starting a flame war. It seems like your only allowed to have a positive review without something flaring up

Well written posts that have negative overtones will not necessarily be deleted, but may be edited/locked depending. Pure hate threads will, indeed, mean a ban for the original poster. Starting flame wars within any thread will also mean a ban. We NEED to keep this site free of trolls/haters/jerks/etc.
