They are amazing! I loved them. BUT I do have to say that I prefer my new ones (I currently use Tritton TRIGGERS) I prefer the Tritton Triggers over any Turtle Beach. They are easy to set up and don't hurt your ears if you are wearing them for long gaming sessions. But eh, each to their own I do recommend the Tritton Triggers if you could find a pair though xP

The X12's are $129.95. what i would suggest is that you save up about $80 more and get the Razer Tiamat 7.1. go to razer's wwebsite and search "Tiamat 7.1", but if your too lazy to look there, they have 5 speakers per each earmuff (10 in all), the front and center one being 30mm, the surround, and surround back are 20mm, and the subwoofer is 40mm. it is not 50mm like the X12, but it has EPIC bass coverage, and, you probably guessed by reading the speaker dimensions, full surround sound. they have a 7.1 sound chip, a volume control in the handle, and the mic has a Signal-to-Noise Ratio: 50 dB (whatever that means). anyways, to wrap this up, i would suggest saving the extra money and getting the Tiamat instead of the X12. just my opinion though

The x42's are 129, x12's are no more than 69.

They are standard 2.0 surround headsets, your thinking of the x42's

Glad to help man. Razer has some other awesome things too like Razer Comms and Game booster. both of these are free, and worth looking at.

Great headphones and durable, had them for almost a year now, the bass is great, quality and design is perfect too.

The only Con about them is the earmuffs, they can tend to hurt your ears.

Anyways, It's a really nice headset, just be careful with the cords. I broke mine that way.
