Under-rated/under-appreciated biomes (in your opinion)contact_support
I honestly think ice spikes and stony beaches aren't talked about that much, along with Modified Edge Jungles (or whatever they were, they're the rarest biome in all of minecraft!)
Ice spikes look really cool (but lack anything of substance), while stony beaches look aesthetically pleasing (and also have some exposed ores on their edge)

You ever played whack-a-zombie??

THE SWAMP

The void... I mean uh. Mmm. Hmmmm...
Birch forest maybe. I uh hear a lot of people hating on birch, but I uh, like building in that biome. I like the grass colour.
Although I also tend to replace the trees with custom ones. And stuff. Since I'm just that kind of builder, I suppose.
But I use birch logs and birch leaves when I do. I like all biomes, just some of them require more tlc then others.

the void is so peak smh...
birch forest is also good, yeah
birch forest is also good, yeah

I feel like the Mushroom Islands was the most popular biome for their rarity some time ago, but now it’s been almost completely forgotten about.

With podzol becoming renewable, mycelium became less valuable…
The minimal mob spawning does still make some tree types easier to farm, but tha's less of a draw…

yeah def. now they're not rare or do you have any reason to go to as they don't have much interest :(

old extreme hills even if they arent extreme

I still like them tbh. honestly could make for a nice spot in multiplayer

badlands, very cool area

where are the GOODlanmds????
also badlands has gold pretty cool i think

…and easier to see mineshafts

deserts. why? because mojang ruined it and therefore it is under-appreciated by them

deserts are okay, but the husks are annoying

Hanging around into the day is sometimes annoying, but the husk generation rules make deserts better for general darkroom mob spawners as husk spawns replace 80% of generic zombie spawns, but fail if not under open sky which ups the drops rates for things more useful than rotten flesh.

You are impressively nerdy about minecraft, I just have to say it. Respect from one nerd to another.

Thank you, some aspire to nerdiness/geekdom, some have nerdiness/geekdom thurst upon them, others are just born that way [We lucky ones] …

It sometimes is a great and lonely path to walk, but it is us and only us that keep the citizens of... wait. Wrong thing.
I mean yeah! Mundane odinary things!
I'm gonna go fight the monsters crawling out of the- I mean enjoy my uh *cough* totally normal and mundane holiday.

MS/Mj does seem to have an instittional blindspot with regards to the utility of 'white space'

Birch forest isn't really talked about, unless it is and I just haven't heard it

people hate on birch for some reason.

ye its great for builds tho! =D ( i use it in a combo with other light color woods to make Beach houses)

Birch and dark oak planks make for good checkboard patterns as well which is nice

Savanna: inherent lightning proofing without the passive spawn restrictions of desert
Deep Frozen Ocean: best for developing Ocean monuments (no pesky sea grass)
Old (pre 1.16) Nether: just because

savannas have acacia don't they? they suck so bad ;-;
deep frozen ocean: i'm suprised you eve know the differences between the oceans...
old nether: def way harder. really cool tbh

I like the wood, but it is a pain to farm.
They also often border Savanna Plateau biomes which adds llamas to the mix of passive spawns (as well as deserts for rabbits)
[The savanna I've currently got looks more like tiaga as the lack of lighting makes 2x spruce farming easier and generating podzol is an easy way of spawn proofing to allow passive mob farms.]
Details, wherein lies both the devil and potential salvaltion 😇
👍 (I think there's much to be said for the new nether, I just wish it had all been added to a new dimension reached via gates in bastions)

pale forest
tbh its actually really cool cuz the creaking and the eye blossoms. and the wood is nice for a modern house ig.
ppl dont like it bc its 'useless' but i don't think its useless. plus, its the biggest update we got after the cherry biomes.

pale forests are okay, but they dont blend in well enough from dark oak forstd

Sparse_Jungle
great color,
good building space,
pleanty resources
nice jungle alteration

I like sparse jungles, particularly in modded were there is more flora variety added (banannas, extra flowers ect.) And they are less frame tanky then true jungles.

Jungles are cool until you spawn in one...
