Currently I'm searching for a solution for following issue:
as a passionate collector of series, I would like to capture and save some Netflix original series on my hard disk and burn them further more on DVD.
I mean I really like this video-on-demand service, but sometimes it's a bit annoying, that I'm always dependant to the application, some content suddenly disappeares and not every kind of series and movies are available in the recent released offline-mode.

Heard about some video streaming recorder, but don't know if there are also such ones, which enables me to capture orignial series out of Netflix. Anybody already had experience regarding to that?
If someone also has contributions about legality, would be excited to hear about, because this is not really clear to me yet.

Thanks for any reply!

Karrthusits illegal if you distribute them once you burnt them, to be honest nobody can really stop you from having a personal collection of recorded DvDs as long as you don't sell them or give them to people.

This is what I also can recommend you. Nothing should happen if you just record movies and series with an audio streaming recorder and take it for your private use.

Since longer I'm using audials Moviebox. This recorder converts and saves complete series - episode by episode - and full movies by recording your PC screen. It is compatible with any formats for PC, games console, smartphone and tablet and not just for android and iOS devices. You can play the videos with audials directly or even drag and drop to export it for example to burn on DVD.

If you're streaming Netflix from a TV or something you should be able to record with recorders like a Humax HDR-1800T, my aunt has something like that, she records doctor who off bbc 1 with it, you record then show, then i think you just stick in a blank cd or dvd and it burns it from the hard drive onto the disk
