I want to play modded minecraft with plugins, but the problem is, Cauldron/mcpc has dropped bukkit support, and BetterLAN is only 1.6.2.
I just wanna play mcmmo single player
Anyone know a workaround perhaps?

Try to find some legacy downloads for MCPc on the internet. I know tekkit classic has native tekkit support but that's 1.2.5.
