What Fish Do You Want in Your Fish Tank? (Saltwater)

As a person who adores colorful and cool fish, I wondered if anyone else shared my interest. So I created a poll here where you can select the kind of fish you absolutely MUST have in a fish tank. I kept it broad to allow for different species. Be sure to say what you picked in the comments below!

Having shark's sounds cool, but they are really boring, most of the time the do nothing.

Oh you would be surprised. Personally, eels and puffers are some of my favorites as they react to humans better. My father had an eel that my siblings and I named Melman. He was kind of like a dog and did tricks to get food.
And the sharks don’t do all the cool stuff they normally do. They just swim back and forth or around if you have a cylinder-like tank.

yeah i used to own a fish it just swam around, i imagine puffers would do some stuff but i didnt know that eels did :O

Some at least. Another eel we had, Snowflake, usually stayed in his den and poked out his head occasionally. Still, he reacted to humans well and was aware he was being watched.
Also, watch eels when they catch prey. Their jaws actually shoot out of their mouth and pull the prey in. You have to pay close attention, but it’s really cool when you see it.

I would definitely choose dolphins, but the tank would have to be so realistic to their natural environment that they wouldn't even know they're captive, since they're highly intelligent beings like us after all (and SeaWorld sucks).

I quite like the yellow prawn-goby and tiger pistol shrimp.
