What languages are you studying, or know?
I am studying Russian and Chinese. I have studied Chinese for 2 years now and Russian for a month so far. English is my first language. Also, I would appreciate if any native speakers to those two languages could contact me and we can converse.

I know English (native language, I think I'm pretty good at it xP), a little German, a moderate amount of Irish (it's so beautiful <3), and am going to be studying Spanish soon. I really want to learn to speak fluent Spanish. <3 It would also be very useful in America, it's the second most used language here I bet.

My native language is English, I speak conversational(ish) French, and I'm learning Ancient Greek and Yucatec Maya.
1
Why those two specific languages? I've never heard of someone who wanted to speak those.
1
I'm studying archaeology, and those languages are a necessity to study the greeks and the mayans in any depth.
1
Very fluent in English, with some conversational school-ordained Spanish. I wish I was better, but for some reason foreign languages just don't click with me. Considering learning German since it's setup is much closer to English than most other languages.
1
Flamand is also very simmilar.
1
I can hold a conversation in English(American mostly) and I speak Dutch and Serbian fluently.
1
I'm currently attempting Tagalog, but am fluent in English and can speak little its of French. :3

Only know English, but I hope to one day learn Spanish, since some parts of my family can speak fluent Spanish.
1
Lets see i know English, English, and English.

English.... 1 Language.... That will do... Lol

I cannot be satisfied with only knowing one language. I must be able to talk to as many people as I possibly can.
1
I'm fluent at English and I'm decent at German, currently trying to learn more.

Yes, I forgot to add! Programming languages do apply to this!

I speak English (native language), but I have taken 2 years of Spanish and I'm considering continuing it in college. I'm really interested in learning Arabic, but the college I am going to attend does not offer it.
1
You should try Chinese, it may be easier to pronounce the words with a background in Spanish.
1
There seems to be lots of Polish people on this forum.
1
Yeah, we have a tendancy to migrate from Poland to English speaking countries like the UK and Canada. Not a lot go to the US though as to go there with a Polish passport, you need an extra visa.

My good friend from freshman year came from Poland. He was rather sketchy, parents were billionaires and held a monopoly on convenience stores there. Almost everything he wanted, he got. I once heard him ask his mom (in Polish, he translated for me after) if he could have 125k to invest... I guess the answer was yes. I don't know what happened to him though..

Native Dutch speaker. Can speak English fluently and I've learned French and German (I'm not very good at speaking French / German since it's been a while and I don't use it very often, but I can understand it for the most part).
1
I'm fluent at English and studying spanish.

avronaWith Polish you can easily speak to people that speak Russian and Chech.

My native language is swedish, but my dad's from America so I speak English pretty well too (although I rarely speak to him anymore). I take Spanish lessons in school.
1
My first language is Polish and I'm fluent in English since i have to speak it in America. And I'm forced to take Spanish in school and i talked to the counselors and the Principal and they don't care that I'm taking Polish language courses at a 3rd party school and they give us homework and tests. (I'm taking Polish language classes since my friends are there and my parents want me to learn a bit more Polish since i lived in Poland only for about 8 years.)
1
I am very fluent at English, yet lived here for 3 years. I spend most of my life in Russia which is my first language.
1
Cebuano is my native language, but I can speak English more fluently, being American and all.
I currently am studying French and Spanish in school (somewhere along the lines of my family tree, a bit French and Spanish blood slipped in, so it's pretty interesting knowing how to speak the languages).

My mother's part of my family speaks fluent mandarin, and I want to learn it, but never got to the task XD. Luckily, my cousins speak both Chinese and English

^^^ In my 2nd year of spanish and being forced to take a 3rd.

I love languages so I do not know what it is like to be forced to take one. Is this through your school? I would try to find a language you are interested in learning and then talking to your school about supplementing your language requirement with the one you want to learn. I'm sure they could accommodate for that, especially if the third-party you learn it from can give tests and homework. Good luck!
1
Yup, through high school. To graduate, you need two credits in a language class and my school only offers French and Spanish. (Kinda regret not taking French.) I'll think about finding a language I'm actually interested in learning. ;p
1
From looking at your profile I would suggest Japanese . That might be quite difficult though, I don't know how hard Japanese is in comparison to Chinese.
1
I'll consider it. :3
