Where's Vader?
1
I have a limit of 10 but I just changed Rose to Darth Vader :)

Might be a pretty long list but my favorite canon characters: Admiral Ackbar, Bossk, Darth Maul, Vader, Tarkin, and the entire 501st. As for non canon my favorites there are Kyle Katarn, Darth Malak, Revan, and Delta Squad.

Tarkin was excellent. A shame they didn't give him much screen time.

Ben is my favorite. He’s too awesome ;)

Palpatine, quite frankly, but I've always been fond of Obi-Wan's development when sticking to the options of the poll. The actor in the later two prequel films did much to help my opinion, and the character I am fond of. Really, he is the epitome of jedi ideals.
Flamebait time - Kylo Ren is an edgy preteen with virtually no intellectual capacity, depth beyond "muh conflicts" and a motif of wannabe Vader that doesn't come close to deserving the name. He can't make a stable lightsaber, and what he has made is limited in practicality. The character sucks in-character (as I suspect he was designed to be), but even looking at what the character is supposed to be and his activities I think he sucks. The entire 'First Order' is equally filled with blathering incompetents who are about as effective as Clone Wars soldiers put in that time period (hint, they're all extremely old or dead).

Why did they stop using a clone army?
1
To my EU knowledge, some issues with rebelling clones on the original production worlds made Palpatine himself generally less trusting. That was the first blow, though it didn't stop cloning. Eventually, actual clones were phased out in favor of manual recruitment (ie, normal people could and would get into the ranks). The exact reason for that from a canon perspective I do not know, though I suspect it was from mistrust at the top of mostly identical people (at least generations all spawning from the same 'father', or later on, a wider range of 'fathers').
Presumably it was more economic to say "oi, join us" and give the people some basic equipment than spending the time to raise them (yes, it was faster than normal, but still took years), sustain them for that long, and then equip and deploy them. Diversity can bring its troubles in a number of ways, but the lack of diversity also hurt in-canon. Making entire armies of clones just wasn't in favor anymore. Didn't stop 100% though.
