Oh how fun. The plethora of the "YOUR MOTHER" jokes.

Everything aside, Igorgames has your resolution to your question.

IgorgamesThe planet, dubbed HAT-P-1, is located some 450 light-years from Earth in the constellation Lacerta.

It is the largest planet ever discovered and boasts a radius nearly 1.4 times larger than Jupiter's.

HAT-P-1 is also the least dense of all known planets.

"This planet is about one quarter the density of water," said Gaspar Bakos, a Hubble fellow at CfA.

"In other words, it's lighter than a giant ball of cork. Just like Saturn, it would float in a bathtub if you could find a tub big enough to hold it, but it would float almost three times higher."

Unlike more familiar gas giants, including those in our solar system, HAT-P-1 does not appear to have a solid core.

Likewise, trivial questions such as this one can be resolved with google. No need to make threads such as this.

Is this an actual question? It can't really be discussed, there's only one answer and several people have already said it. Google is a fantastic resource for you to use, for future reference.

yeah but that is WAY too many planets to account for in a question like this, so obviously the answer should be the biggest KNOWN planet. too find the largest planet in the entire universe would be impossible, given the universe is infinite and ever expanding, so once you found a "largest" there would be another one in the near future. it's really an un-answerable question

The universe is not infinite, and the expansion theory is not proven, although, yeah many people actually think the universe is expanding. Also, if the universe was infinite, it would start cloning itself and we would have multiple ourselves. The universe would duplicate itself every Googol Plex (thats a googol raised to a googol) miles.
You said: so once you found a "largest" there WOULD be another one.
I change the WOULD to COULD.

Guys , it is not Jupiter , that is in our solar system. their are BILLIONS of planets. they predict there are at least 2 planets for each star. Jupitier is tiny compared to other planets out there. Yes , it is the biggest in out solar system , but that is not what he means , there is a difference -_-

We have a paltry amount of planet discoveries in relation to star discoveries; there's one article here:

http://www.space.com/18522-super-jupite ... photo.html

Which has a planet 13x the size of Jupiter. There's likely more in the realm of "Brown dwarf" failed stares.

Do you mean stars or planets? There is a large difference

The largest star we know of is NML Cygni. (I thought it was different but I just looked it up)

The largest planet is HAT-P-1, I believe.
