Initial Thoughts/Opinions on Minecraft Education Edition (Has not played it, but has seen screenshots): Oh gosh... There's an Education Edition of Minecraft now!? Our generation is screwed... *sigh* I'd hate to say this (since I'm a Christian myself), but:
(PS: I've played the PC and Pocket Edition versions of Minecraft, but I'd prefer the original PC version. It has more features, and you can change textures and skins, unlike Microsoft's painful excuse for Bedrock Edition or *shrudders* the Education Edition.

EDU Edition provides a safer, classroom-friendly atmosphere for Minecraft. A teacher can enable/disable commands, and it mostly focuses on coding. Students can use Agent, a mob that looks like a cute, tiny Iron Golem, to code, and code mobs called NPCs to say different things. THAT is why there's an EDU Edition.
TBH, my favorite thing that I've seen are the cameras from PE. They actually work!

"Bedrock Edition"?
1
That's the Pocket Edition.
1
Wait, that was part of the Bedrock Edition? *facepalm* Oh my gosh... I should have done more research before posting this comment... :P
Either way, I still think Education Edition is pretty bad.

But what is the Bedrock Edition.... ?

Bedrock Editions includes PE, Windows 10, Consoles, stuff like that.

Ah

I mostly use PC, I have Pocket and Console, and I REEALY want to play EDU Edition; it's got cameras for cryin' out loud!
2
used to do pocket edition, now do it on my PC

I belive I have to say Console on this one, because while I use the PC version quite a lot, I use my Nintendo Switch version even more :D

Well, PC/Mac has mods!!!
1
You make it sound like a good thing when it ruins the game for me :p
Sure optifine, Shaders, and Forge W/E are great mods. But Tekkit, and all those mod packs that add "NEW SUPER EXTRA MEGA FEATURES!!!!" Meh... I'd rather play Vanilla then :)
Edit:
And also. Nintendo Switch has Zelda: Breath of the wild. You should try it some time :p

The thing is PC/Mac has much more things to do. You can create content and play content others there is so much you can do. You can use texture packs to add a little more diversity to your life. You can play modded which there are many mods that fit what everyone wants. You can go on multiplayer servers and compare your abilities to other and overall have a great time!

Im sorry to dissapoint you, that you can do that in Nintendo Switch too.
Build your own creations, and download someone else's map and convert it takes 5 minutes. And a lot of maps (like the dropper) are 10 times more challenging on the Nintendo Switch than PC, which makes it fun to play again.
Resourcepacks are available in the Nintendo Switch version too. You could've just googled that if you wanted to check your facts, but hey what do I know? I'm only the guy who's playing the Nintendo Switch version with resourcepacks on all the time.
About the mods, then I don't think you actually read my last reply, but hopefully you'll read it now that I mention it ;) But just to re-cap: I hate mods, they ruin the game. Done.
And servers are currently being made for the Nintendo Switch version. You have to remember it's like the Pocket Edition but only a few changes has been made (Mostly just the steering)
So. Sorry for disproving you but Nintendo Switch version is all I need.

You never disproved me? PC is way more fun you can instantly download resource packs that fit your liking instead of picking certain ones from that awkward Nintendo shop. I also don't like the fact you have to buy resource packs and such It doesn't make too much sense to me. I don't understand why mods ruin the game. Mods are so fun and you can pick and choose which ones you want. You can create your own mods as well which is very fun to do. Those creations you talk about are nowhere near as great as the ones on PC. PC maps take months of effort with an ending result of an amazing map also due to the addition of command blocks way back. Nintendo Switch is an overall nice console experience, but PC is much better.

You should do a different poll once 1.2 comes out,
the 1.2 update changes the name of all bedrock editions and console edition to plain minecraft, PC/Mac edition to Java edition, and there is an abandoned version for the raspberry pi that I use sometimes.
- Minecraft
- Java Edition
- Education Edition
- Pi Edition
