Moderator's Day

As the day starts coming together, a few moderators who
happened to be about that day go prowling through the
thick jungle-like rain forest. It runs so much like a tangled
web, it's usually hard to get around. The moderators also
try taking a new way, without a path. They already have it
in their minds that they want to hunt for a web-troll. The
nasty creatures are popping up everywhere now, and
they need to be taken care of.

After a long and tiresome search, they find a unique
place that was yet undiscovered. After looking about it,
they find that it's crawling with the little devils. The
moderators each take out their weapons, ready to strike
at the beasts. They steady their hands and minds,
focusing on the trolls they mentally decided were their's.
The trolls hit a wave of silence.

A long pause. The moderators still ready, and the trolls
uncertain of what will happen. They start to laugh, the
things. And they keep laughing, and keep laughing, and
just keep laughing. The moderators get a little irritated,
but stay calm. After a long, deep period of thought, they
decide to move. BAM! Down goes a troll. Everyone is
frozen and silent. The moderator that struck uprights,
looks around, and smiles.

The trolls run, all the while laughing again as they
think they are escaping. They stop dead in their tracks.
A moderator is right in front of them, so they turn and
run again. Then they stop, another moderator. And
again they turn and run. Only to be stopped yet again
by another. They are surrounded, and aren't laughing
anymore. The moderators walk a slow, agonizing walk
towards the trolls. They start cowering. Closer, closer,
closer. So close now that a moderator could bend down
touch one of them with his nose. Stillness.

WAM! The first troll of the group. SHWING! Another.
THWUMP! And another. They seem to disintegrate after
being hit, not seen anymore. Then the moderators
attack with a force so strong the forest seemed to
shake in fear.

It didn't take long to finish them off. They were easy
targets. They sit down to rest and clean their weapons.
They don't say a word. But they are still congratulating
each other as if through telepathy. They get up and
walk a little ways, until they meet some tribes-people.
They start conversing over various topics, until they
must leave. In their minds, they all realize that they
need to be cautious, yet they run into some real
problems, like the mimics. Or maybe even cutters, who
hack through the trees to get wherever they want.

Moderators keep the forum/posts clean. Moderators also answer users' concerns about the forum, general questions, as well as respond to specific complaints. They also can do anything to lend a helping hand to a user in need. Essentially, it is the duty of the moderator to manage the day-to-day affairs of a forum or board as it applies to the stream of user contributions and interactions.

I am capable of doing all of these things. Even though I have broken some rules on this site before (being honest) I believe I have what it takes to be a mod.

Well i think they keep PMC safe for total CHAOS
So i think they do a pretty good job, and if you got banned, there is probably a reason for it.

i want to be come one, to help the community, i can't build for sh*t so making projects..... not the best of mine , and i think you guys are doing: keep chatroom spamfree etc. answering our flag/reports, answering to our help message's. search for unoriginal/stolen content. doing the best they can; that are moderators i think

draco dragonwell... this is the first time I've had to explain but, i think mods are fairly young yet intelligent adults who read through the forums and or chat looking for the trolls, thieves, and hackers. and what would i do if i were mod? well it would depend what type of mod i was but if i was a chat mod i would keep the peace and keep the spammers out, i would listen to what cyprezz says and take action based on what he says must be done and even if i have to go to the extremes i would follow through and help all who need it. its in my helpful nature to make sure everyone is happy even if im not

I sit in a corner and throw pillows at ladies, but don't worry, the cast from Mythbusters protects the ladies. I also occasionally go human hunting with Conquer, along with some cooking sessions with Chef Draco Dragon. When the day's over, I like to sit back and fight in a war with people.

They sit in the pale moonlight, dawn approaching their camp in the middle of the treacherous forum-est. One is cleaning their banweapon, which was fresh of blood from a recent attacker... finally, dawn breaks and they pack camp slowly.
Says one, "Another morning in the life of the average moderator." Quite frankly nobody else cares and everyone wonders why that person is even a mod, but they continue packing anyways.
By the time they set out looking for signs of a recent battle, it is already near midday, so they set off quickly, with the aforementioned idiot one following increasingly much behind.
One, with the nose of a dog for battle, looks up to a topic they left behind for a while, as it feel from it's perch, on fire, set over by massive trolls.
Easy work.
Two of the moderators look towards each other and walk sideways slowly to where the trolls are chopping the burning topic. The trolls look at them slightly confused, letting their guard down for enough time for the faster of the two moderators to get one troll's head with his/her banweapon.
Beautiful hit.
The second troll, by then, was frozen in terror, and by the time it regained ability to move, it was dead. The entire team of moderators watches, slightly smiling, as the trolls disappear, particle by particle, pretty quickly.
Suddenly, again the sniffing one points their head at something.
A firebomb tripthread.
That the idiot already triggered.

They polish their trusty banhammers, some even putting nice stickers on their, then they STRIKE FEAR INTO THE HEARTS OF THE GUILTY!

They are probably getting sick of the shit that 12 year old children do, namely breaking the rules over and over, then claiming they never knew them. (then doing it again)

Moderators awaken at 4:34 in the morning, eat seven pounds of haggis for breakfast, and take a waterproof laptop with them in the shower to read their private messages. Then they get in their cars and drive to work, checking the forums on their smartphones while unknowingly plowing through a small outdoor Bar Mitzvah. At work they make excuses that their code is compiling so they can get away with lurking in the chat lounge. On the way home they stop at a drive-thru to get dinner, absentmindedly ordering a baker's dozen of everything on the menu while they deal with reports, then drive away without paying. When they get home, they neglect their families and read through the latest submissions, deleting stolen skins and commenting on their favorite projects. Finally, at 2:98 AM, they go to bed after writing an obligatory generic blog about trolls, thieves, meta gaming, or real life issues. If they end up having a few extra minutes in their day, they might even play a little Minecraft.

To be honest, I'd like to be one because I saw PMC just before the dawn of the trolls. It was a great place for any creativity, and then...BOOM!
One day everything just changed. People were dividing into little groups and other people didn't like it. And the troll appeared on here which was something new entirely.

I'd like to be a moderator so I can see the PMC I saw once.

I find it ironic that this is a thread about the Moderators, yet this is such a disorganized and chaotically off-topic thread.

Back on topic, has anyone actually heard from Cyprezz whether he has acknowledged the issue of our lack of mods? I mean, it should be obvious, but I didn't know if anyone knew if he was actually looking for mods.
