I want to make a game using the Unity Game Engine. I need some modellers and programmer and maybe other spots. Anyways, it's planned to be a game similar to Minecraft. Now, before you say, "MINECRAFT COPY" it's not. It's going to contain weapons, and digging. And destruction like in Battlefield, with huge Multiplayer. It's have flyable vehicles and jeeps. Plus, a gamemode that you can customize your own base, gather resources, and battle another opponent. If you think we should use another Game Engine or anything, just let me know, but Unity seems complex enough for it. I need someone who's interested to help. If you are, comment here or just add me on skype: volksmith7

Unity wont be a good source for this. Multiplayer would require dedicated servers unless you want to have a player hoster which would be difficult. A game worth looking at takes around 8-12 months. No body you meet online would devote that time into it. And it sounds like your just taking other games ideas and mixing them. So, overall I give the idea a 2/10.

Not at all. Sorry many games are already created, hard coming up with your very own custom idea without getting something from somewhere.

miner836Vulture7Sorry but the leader should do most of the work...
It's hard to do everything. I can do a bit of programming, storyline, texturing, and VERY little modelling. I'm not doing everything and the leader does not do all the work. You're wrong there
you dont have to do all the work just about 50% and everyone else splits the other 50% amongt them selves [/quote]
I know and that's what's planned. I'm doing a little bit of everything but for them it's not enough. xD

I think the leader should DEFINITELY be the storywriter, and the one with the ideas, but he should lend other talents he has.

Well I have a little experience with unity but I may be able to help

I agree with the statements above. The leader should do a good sum of work. The reason why leaders Don't do a lot of work is because they pay money to the others to do the work. So pretty much:
Unless people are getting paid, bad luck.
*Free work (that is good) is extremely hard to find today*

Story Line: It was a peaceful day like others however...A WAR HAS STARTED! There is corrupted people who have lost their mind and there is a evil menace mind controlling them (Original right?...WRONG!) there are machines underground and you have to dig down to that base and destroy it however they are hard to destroy due to, Mind Controlled people, Sheilds,Counter strike, and there are 7 Total, when you destroy all of them the evil mastermind appears and then you fight the final duel. What do you think?

I'm helping, but usually leading a game just requires coming up with ideas. I will help with ideas, texturing, and some scripting.

so you want to make a game, but want everybody else doing everything?

Aparently
