Well. Anyone who reads this has probably seen me and is just annoyed at this point. Since I was 13/14years old (I'm now 18) I've wanted a PC for gaming. Obviously, it never happened. I thought it would but every time it seemed possible a roadblock came in the way (house foreclosed, damage to a car on my part, puppy, etc). That said, I finally got a job! My father wants me to "enjoy my first 2-3 paychecks" because he was never able to when he was younger. That said.. I want to finally build my computer. I get paid every 2 weeks, and plan to buy it in 4-6 weeks.

I have a build made and I will link it at the bottom. I went for this build for one simple reason: I can upgrade it. With the specs I chose I can easily upgrade the CPU to an i7-7700k, and the GPU to whatever is top of the line at the time. Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BCjjCy
* Note; I haven't picked a case I like yet, so just don't include this in the cost. I'll find a case I like that fits the contents.

Here's the standard questionnaire!

What is this computer going to be used for?
Strict gaming, maybe some streaming. Lots of multitasking as well.
What is your budget?
$927-$1300, USD. I'll be buying on Amazon. The lower the better. Keep in mind this is something that I will be upgrading throughout this year, next year, etc until I reach top level specs.
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter/Fry's Electronics?
Nope! Neither are close enough. I'll be shopping on Amazon and at a local store, but run with PCPartpicker costs.
What is included in the budget?
Just the PC itself.
Will you be overclocking?
I will NOT be overclocking.
Will you be reusing any parts?
Not in this build.
What OS do you want?
I'll be using Windows 10 but I have access to a copy.
Any specific case preferences?
I'll be selecting a case personally, one that reflects me as an individual and will work the best with cooling and whatnot.
Any other special features that you want in the build?
No hard drive or hybrid, straight SSD, and intel only on the cpu.

I'm sorry! I forgot to put it in the post, but I'd prefer to keep the cpu intel. It's just a personal preference. I appreciate the help nonetheless!

Going with Intel at this price point will get you a lot less performance for your money. You might get 10% more FPS on an Intel chip, but your minimum FPS will suffer as well as your ability to multitask. At this price point, you're only looking at Intel's 4-core parts, which will not hold up well when trying to do something like game and stream/record. Think of the current AMD lineup as affordable X99, because that's basically exactly how it performs.

Are you absolutely sure you want to go Intel?

I am sure. The main reason I want to go for intel is so that, by next summer, I plan to upgrade to an I7-7700K and a 1080. I've done plenty of research on them and the I7-7700K is what I want "long term".

Truth be told, I'd suggest saving a couple of paychecks on top and spend them on a better platform. Instead of going 7700 -> 7700K, go straight to the "top dog".
Slap a 1TB 2.5 SSD, a higher end PSU/MB, more memory to house all your foreground/background applications and services.

As much as I would love to do that, I need to get the PC rather quickly, and as affordably as I can within my bracket. My father wants me to spend my first "few" paychecks on something fun and for myself, but very shortly after I do need to buy a car.

Here's another option. Like Ren's build, I'm going the Ryzen route, though I'm knocking off 2 cores in favor of a GTX 1070.

It's compact, it's cheap for what you get, and it'll handle basically anything you can throw at it - even streaming.

The 1600 is currently out of stock on Amazon, but it should be restocked in about a week.

This build is good for your needs. You don't really need an optical drive. You can put windows onto a usb and install it off of that. Most programs are digital anyways now. Since, you will be streaming and multitasking a lot a ryzen 7 1700 is a good cpu for that. Good multi-threaded performance. In gaming its a gamble. But, usually its a couple fps behind intel cpu's.
