from what I've seen, it appears to be a bug on the games end, and no fault of your own. Why, just today, I was working on my behavior pack project when, for some reason, I found one of my newer blocks to be using that specific block: a dirt texture with the phrase "update!" written in green. I checked all of my files, and saw nothing wrong. Something similar happened earlier, too. One of my textures was incorrectly named, and showed the iconic magenta checkerboard. Let me know if you find out anything else.
