Help request for a school: Bedrock on Xbox, how do we get an mcworld file from this site on to the xbox edition of Minecraft?
Aloha all!
I'm an IT guy for a small non-profit alternative high school in Oregon. One of our science teachers is attempting to use Minecraft for an assignment/project for her students in two classes.
Can anyone help us achieve the goal with the setup we have?
The Goals:
Transfer a downloaded Map/World to Minecraft Bedrock on Xbox without a repeating subscription
LAN Multi Player (8 player) w/o GamePass. or Local Co-Op (4 player)
The Setup:
4 Xbox One Systems
5 accounts on each system
Very limited budget
I followed a bunch of tutorials and bought apps to make this work but it seems as if microsoft/mojang did a change that doesn't allow us to import a world any more without paying for "realms"?
We can pay for Realms once, but we can't afford to maintain an active subscription for this. Based on what i'm seeing, we'd need between 2 and 4 subscriptions to Realms to make it possible for each xbox system to have the map independently.
The worlds will get used again in the future for another class, so we would like to set it up once and be able to "revert" back when each quarter is done.
I've already downloaded the maps in an attempt to get them on the xbox systems, but that has failed.
If anyone has any idea of how to make this work, you could be a big hero for us!

There were 5 or 6 maps found on PlanetMinecraft that we're looking to import to each console so that we can create a game using those downloaded worlds.
The worlds will get used again in the future for another quarter/semester class, so we would like to set it up once and be able to "revert" back when each quarter/semester is done, or to be able to generate a new world based on the downloaded "template" each time.
Game mode will be Peaceful and Education Edition
LAN Multi Player (8 player) w/o GamePass. or Local Co-Op (4 player)
It would be amazing if we could designate two of the xbox systems as "hosts" and allow 8 player LAN play with 4 local players on each xbox, but we can't maintain subscriptions to Game Pass or Realms
If the above isn't possible without GamePass or Realms, we'd be happy with having Player 1 on each xbox be the world creator as long as 3 other local players (4 players total) can play in the world on the same xbox.
The Setup:
4 Xbox One Systems
5 accounts on each system
1 "Main" account that does the purchasing, sets up as "home" xbox, and is the "family" control/organizer. This account "owns" the license
for Minecraft on each xbox, but does not play the game and mostly won't be logged in.
4 "student" accounts that play the game, with Player 1 on each console being the primary player for each group/xbox.
Very limited budget
basically enough to get the game and POSSIBLY a one time sub to Realms per system
None of our xbox systems or accounts for the school has GamePass of any sort, and never will.
