With me been new to the game.

I was wanting to know if i can change a multiplayer into a realm because i now understand people can not play on the world unless I'm online and in the world itself.

Where with realm they can join it whether you are online or not, reasons is because i made it for my kids. So is it the case i have to start all over from scratch
