I created a new world, and I accidentally had experimental gameplay turned off a. I turned it on after I created the world, but I still don't get new biomes, even if I travel far away. Do I need to travel even further? I've traveled a couple thousand blocks in one direction, but still haven't found things like the bamboo jungle. Heck, I've never even come across an ocean yet, or a pillager outpost, or a woodland mansion, or an ocean temple, or anything. Should I just travel tens of thousands of blocks, or will new stuff never generate no matter what I do?

Maybe you have structures turned off

Pretty sure the generator follows old rules after creation even if the experimental gameplay option is on (source: me testing it totally scientifically). If it’s not an important world to you, maybe try with a blank one?

Yeah, I was thinking to just make a new world and get the achievements there (that I can't get on my current world)

I’m not 100% sure how bedrock generation works however I can tell you that in Java Bamboo jungles and woodland mansions are extremely rare and pillaged outposts aren’t exactly common

I know they are rare, but I'm fairly sure they don't spawn at all with experimental gameplay turned off. What I'm asking here is if they can still generate if I turn ex. gameplay on AFTER the world generated, if I travel far enough, or if absolutely everything loaded the old way and everything new is just out of the question.
