Could pokemon draw people away?

I want to start a faction server, but i was hit with a thought. I also have the Hoenn region from pokemon as a seperate area. The factions will not be there. But i feel younger kids like 12 might end joining since it has pokemon. What im asking is do you think having pokemon in my server will draw the older crowd for pvp factions.

thanks for the advice, if i'll try to find a balance between the too, have the pokemon sort of like an attraction, while the core will be faction based. thanks for the help

Pokemon may attract a few people to your server, and it may draw a few people away if it is too Pokemon. But, its your little kingdom to rule over, and I actually get the most people on my server when I made it the was I wanted it to be. No factions, no PVP, just Towny. Factions, I wasn't really into. If you want Pokemon, plenty of people will think that's cool, I'm sure, so go for it! I do know some older Pokemon fans, though.

i have nothing planned at the moment for the pokemon area, but i dont want it just sitting there. I don't have experience with coding so i wont be able to a plugin. Right now i have a portal that goes to the pokemon area, and another portal that goes to Survival Factions.

sounds like a cool idea will you add a pokemon plugin or somthing like that?
