The launcher I am using only supports minecraft 1.11.2 and under, and as far as I know the problem occurs for all versions. This is not a normal error for most people because I have bean testing different compiled mesa files for the opengl32.dll (usually also has talloc.dll). What is supposed to happen is that the mesa files allow PC's with older graphics cards to run programs that require unsupported versions of opengl by using the CPU for graphics instead of the GPU. It is said to be laggier, but it hasn't worked at all for me. Even after downloading the mesa files (opengl32.dll, and talloc.dll) from many different sites, neither putting the files in system32 nor in the minecraft directory has worked. The last I tried, I put talloc.dll in system32 and opengl32.dll in .minecraft folder. P.S. I am using the kernel extension for windows 2000.

So here is the full log:

Are you trying this as some kind of experiment/challenge or are you actually trying to run Minecraft on a Windows 2000 PC to properly play it? Obviously, Windows 2000 and hardware of its time is far too old to run Minecraft on. Even if you somehow get the game to launch, I don't expect you to get more than 5 or 10 FPS, let alone any playable framerate. Time for a new PC!

Please stop telling me these other things, I know what my main problems are, I have done a lot of research, but my knowledge only spans a certain distance, which is not finite, but limited by time.

I know it can run on Windows 2000, the operating system is not the problem, you can even get it to run on Windows 98, and this is all to feed my addiction. I have problems, but that’s okay.

for starters, you need to use a java version that minecraft supports, try doing that

Java 6 is supported by that launcher, and it isn’t possible to update to a higher version on windows 2000 except for the following thing mentioned, and when (unofficially) finding a way to update, the method required a file type only given up to java 8 or 9. (tar.gz or something like that) so I updated to java 8 update 40. I did this a little while ago but, it was just this morning that I got it to show up like that on the launcher. It doesn’t help at all. I know what my problem is, I just don’t have a solution yet, and before I try to get a new graphics card (old graphics card, new for me), also I would have to find an AGP Graphics card (one that is compatible with the other old hardware and software), I would like to get the Mesa files (offloads most all GPU work to the CPU) but should hypothetically work. Yet none have worked for me, I have tried so many things, it would be so much better if someone could provide me with Mesa files that would work on my pc. Again it mostly shouldn’t matter what hardware you have, because people show the use of it in safe mode and with the windows default graphics driver that has no OpenGL compatibility.

Minecraft needs at least java 7 to run and needs java 8 when using Minecraft 1.8 or newer
