Hello everybody! My username is NoHacksJustGavin, and I started playing minecraft since July 2012.
Anyway, So I noticed that the server, Slabcraft, has shut down about 2 years ago, and my question is: How do I host a free minecraft server with the server's name?

u cant really do that for free, u would need to register a domain.
But u should look into server pro, they allow u to host free Minecraft servers:
server.pro/
I dunno how good they are b/c i always play on a friends server.

have the incoming port with the same name and maybe a different port ex, NAME.SOMETHING.SOMETHING:PORT (router based stuff)
or if you want the text that you see on the list of servers to be the same than in the file server.properties you can change that
