How do I make an armor stand float behind me?

I'm trying to recreate stands from JoJo, so use that as a reference for what I mean. I tried using execute with the "^"s instead of the "~"s, but it didn't make any difference. I want it to stay behind me when I turn instead of it just staying in the same position relative to me. How should I go about doing this?

/execute as @[target selector of the entity you want the armor stand to be behind] at @s run tp @e[type=armor_stand,(more things to specify which armor stands)] ^ ^ ^-1 facing entity @s

you can change the -1 to a lower number (larger negatives) to increase the distance from you

If this is what I think your explaining, you should be able to name it, and make a always active command block that says /tp @e [name=name of armor stand] @s
If the name has spaces in it, it will be [name=“Name of armor stand”]

that would teleport the armor stand directly to the position the player's at

also it could be better to use tags instead of names to detect the armor stand
